I am planning to buy the sony dru500a, but I'm getting doubts about whether it will work or not. Since the burner is made by the same company that makes the ps2, would'nt they make it so that the games that are burned with the dru500a unplayable? Have anyone tried and sucessfully copied a game before?

No, the drive works perfectly. TylerDurden on this forum has one and he swears by it. No worries.

That is highly up to you..Both does -R at 4x only difference is Sony does +R where A05 doesn't burn +R at all..

Check Pricewatch.com and look under their search engine..
I saw plenty of sites that carries the Sony Drive that's in stock..
