Mod chips differ?

do psx modchips differ because mine wont boot patched games of any games even with boot discs. I also can't boot all star tennis dbz legends or final boubt any one know the prob

btw it boots all kinds of other games

ok u can try this.1st open the lid and turn on the power. 2nd when u come to the memory card/cd player screen insert the back up close the lid 3rd then exit, the game might load. i
had to do this on a buddys psx to get some games to work. good
