Hey just got a quick question, ive been browsing the forums reading as much as i possibly can . But heres the deal its sunday im getting my cendyne dvd-r/rw burner tommorow and ive been trying to back up some games for ps2 now ive done a few where ive gotten error's with record max it almost finishes making a global image then poof it goes to finished with error;s the game im currently trying to back up is mortal kombat deadly allience, any ideas?

There could be a lot of things wrong. I would first try a different program. Maybe Primo. If that doesnt work I would try a different disk. Maybe there are some scratches or something. Then I would try a different DVD-rom or what ever you use to rip it. Also make sure you computer can handle a rip. Make sure you got enough disk space. I would at lest have 6-10 gigs if not more free. If anyone would add anything else as well.

Well i have a p4 1.8 , 518 rdram brand new dvd-rom, 120 gig hd. I dont think its the hardware i think its the software, i have ripped a few ps2 games and they worked fine only this game has caused problems like its the copy protection or something?Anything i can do?

Primo sucks and is outdated.


You need the engine update for Record Now Max, At least it sounds like thats your problem.

and where do i get the update? ive tried a few more times and its the same thing it gets to the end then stops and says completed with errors

Thx for the help guys worked perfectly, now one more question that now its been ripped to hd its in 4 diff files ( 2x2gb files , 1 486 mb and another 1.5 k file) any ideas or which do i use to lead the burning or how do i make it one file? or get it to rip to only one file?

Out of the 4 files you have, all of them EXCEPT 1 should have a number in it.... The one WITHOUT the number is the one you use...

oh ok cause its like game(11) game(12) game(13) then just game so i load up the one thats just game and it wil do the rest like a lead file?

Yep.... When you load up the one (in this case "game.gi" ) it will use all of the other files also....

Open RecordNow....
Click Tools:
Click Options:
Make sure your under the general tab...
Check: Autorun Shield (Disable Auto Insert Notification when this application is running)
