Do you just want to put it on a disc for backup?

Yes I would like to put it on a cd-r. Is this possible?? I know I can with vcd or svcd.

If you just want a copy of the file on a cd and not made into a vcd or svcd then you can use pretty much anything. Nero or even Easy CD Creator will work. If any software came with your burner it should work.
