In my new computer......What operating system should I get?

I am getting the Sony dvdrw drive and was thinking about getting XP.... Any thoughts?

I would definately get XP Pro..... Extremely stable and reliable.. I haven't had any problems with it....

Its not perfect, but compared to others it is better, either that or 2000 w/service pack 2 or higher.

XP sucks ass i would go 2000 alot more reliable, + it doesnt have that many spyware, also it works fine even if u dont want to keep updateing everyother day ith XP try going a few months with out updatinf and u get problem everywhere!

I have both (Windows XP Pro & Windows 2000 Pro) on my system, and XP pro is alot more reliable that 2000, at least for me.
I've had XP installed since the release date and have yet to have a single problem out of it.... (And my computer is NEVER turned off, up and running 24-7)

Oh well, just my experience with XP...:)

Cool.....Yeah it is a rare day in my house when my computer is not up and running......Not sure about about that spyware thing though... I have XP Pro at work and I have no problems at all, of course I don't have a dvd burner at work.....YET...
