the ps2 owned by my brother doesn't play cd based games anymore, but dvd games still work.
the ps2 makes weird sounds, so i took it to a electronic shop that chippes the ps2.

the owner of the shop cleaned the ps2 and looked for the error. he said that the laser has to be callibrated, but he doesnt have an tutorial or something else.
he is also looking in the internet for it, but by now he had no success.

now i am trying to find a tutorial which describes the callibration.

i would be glad if you could help me.

the ps2 is a SCPH-30004 R
called a v5 or v6. the mainboard is a gh15 - gh17

thats what the owner of the shop told me.

please help me finding a tutorial !!!
thanks a lot !!!!!

if he does not have an oscilliscope then dont let him do it cos he will probably just try to adjust pots manually...try the search on this forum for "oscilliscope" and there might be a tutorial..if not i know another forum where there was one but try here first
