Hey,

I am looking to purcahse a dvd-rw. I am from the uk and want to spend around £250.

I need to be able to backup dvd movies as well as ps2. I do not know much about dvd backing up so info would be appreciated.

What writer is guarenteed to backup ps2 games and dvd movies?

Thanks

Jonny

The pioneer is a proven winner.

yep, Pioneer models A04 or A05

as you are in UK, www.bigpockets.co.uk or www.blankdiscshop.co.uk for £200, they are also the best place for UK media too. For PS2 go for Traxdata DVD-R.

It looks like the A05 is the best bet for £260 (give or take £2/3)

I will hopefully put in an order for that soon then.

About the discs - are the cheaper dics worth buying at all?

You get so many more for the money but will ps2 games and movies etc backup smoothly (and play smoothly)?

Thanks

Jonny

- Branded, i take it traxdata?
