Hey Dust2Dust..... He has a Magic 2...... He's posted in some other threads about this....
He has tried the correct boot method but to no avail....
He said when he holds reset until the blue light comes on and releses it, he either gets the "red" screen or the "browser" screen.....
Hope that gives you a little more info Dust! :p

no but my old psx used them and it worked. So I think its the boot method because it was installed by professionals. I bought a PS2 with the modchip already in it I got it from www.playthegames.com

Ok...Try this boot procedure.....

Playstation 1 games

•Press EJECT button to switch on the machine.
•Insert PSX game in tray, then press and hold RESET button to switch off machine.
•Now hold the RESET button to start up your machine. Only release the RESET button once you see the first power on screen on your TV. ie hold RESET button for like 4-5 seconds
•Your PSX game should now boot. (If it shows the PSX game as an audio cd. This means that you didn't hold the RESET button long enough.)

This is the boot procedure for the Apple mod chip.... Which is what the site you referred to is selling now... Who knows, you may have got a Apple chip instead...
Worth a shot.....

I would say that your S wire has come adrift.

Do DVD movies play OK? And how do you boot them?
