Stuttering drive

Just fitted messiah 2 into a pal V5. The drive now is stuttering (start/stopping at boot up). The stutter continues even when I insert a cleaning disc, the problem then becomes visual because the seconds counter stutters also. Any ideas as to the problem or remidy greatly appreciated.

sounds like bridge or to much wire showing and touching another point most likely points to me would be b-i but check them all

Is the Messiah 2 possibly grounding through the tape at the bottom?

Def no chance of grounding through the chip m8 - Can I assume your point 'W' for the M2 can be used as an alternative point when installing other chips too Charlie (ie magic 2/3)? Just realised from the messiah2.com site that I've not used the updated clock point! Would this contribute to my probs?

I CANT C CLOCK PIONT INTERFERING WITH CD/DVD NEW POINT WAS ISSUED TO STOP AUDIOnoise problems
