hey my disk tray will only open if the ps2 is standing up and if i lay it down the tray will not open

can anyone help?

Did you check over all the connections after the install?? Ribbon cable,plugs ECT. Is this something that started later??? Did you do the install?? What chip do you have?? We need a little more info if you want help

i dont have a chip yet put it has been droped a few times ill try checkin the stuff again

How do you drop a PS2 a couple times? Do you carry it with you wherever you go?

i dont use the knife trick (have the chip but still waiting to get the wires) and i dont take it with me everywere i just move it from tv to tv depending on wich one is not in use and i checked the stuff and i found out the L track on the bottom has a pice broken off that must be it
