What chip for v7?

Ok here is the deal.. I am waiting for a new ps2 and i dont know what version it will be!
If its a v6 or v5 no prob. i know for sure that messiah is the best!
But .... if its a v7 what should i get? I heard about Enigma, does it excist on ps2? is it any good? please advise me. Do v7 realy have laser probs? what is ur oppinion?

The best bet regardless of what version PS2 you get will always be the Messiah 2.....

How come i find all this information out now, when i`m fighting with a magic 2 in my V7 ... DAM

I guess my son`s X-mas present will stay with the PS/1 backups untill the new year.

I'm almost positive the Messiah 1 doesn't work in the V7's...Someone correct me if I'm wrong....

Why would you want to get the Messiah 1 when the Messiah 2 is out?

i know its stupid but a friend has messiah 1 at the moment and the job can be done for free so....

One last question if its possible..
Because i had a v4 with a neo 2.2 and after 8 months i think that my ps2 has done its purpose, ( dvd games pause , crash, clicking noises etc.) "Even my original ones start to have probs". I think that these were caused by hours of playing and by dvd rips..

ps do you know if messiah 1 has problems , damage with rips?

anyway this is why i am thinking that from now on i should focus on good blank cdrs can u suggest?

Your V4 died beacause of the Neo 2.2....
Rips may have had a part in it BUT the main problem was the Neo 2.2.....
Of course, hours of playing will wear out your PS2 also..Its just like anything else, the more you use it, the quicker it wears out.

Ripped games can be a problem for any PS2...
The Messiah 1 plays rips no problem...
The Messiah 1 does not cause any harm...

Rips can put more of a strain on your PS2, this is why I personally stay away from rips and use 1:1 copies....

OK.... I beleive its confirmed....
The Messiah 1 does NOT work in the V7
Only in V3-V6 PAL and certain V4 US......
