can anybody tell me what dvd writer i should buy after chrismas?
and how much do they cost?

All Pioneer's models like the A05, 105, A04, and 104 are highly recommended by everybody in the ps2 backup world, including myself. Another good choice is the Sony DRU500A. It is very much like the A05 except it has the option of burning +r and +rw. If you are going to be burning ps2 games and dvd these options arent necessary. Plus dvd+r media costs more. You can get an A05 from
HarmonyComputers (www.harmonycomputers.com) for $285. You can get the Sony for about $330.

thax tha is all i wanted to know about dvd writers :)
but i have another question.
i have got a PnP key plus and a ar2
can i play import?

DVD+R media does not cost more. It is about the same. Take Verbatim for example, both dvd-r and dvd+r media is the same price.
