Sony Drv-500a

I am looking to buy a dvd burner. The purpose would be to backup ps2 games. Is the sony drv-500a a decent burner to buy for this? Does anyone know where to order it, the cheepest I found it for is $365?

The Sony burner works well for PS2 games..... One of the mods on this forum (TylerDurden) has one....
Personally, I love my Pioneer A05......

Vinnies, your on the right track. I suggest you get it soon becuase it is in high demand. I found one for about $20 cheaper than what you found.

If your ps2 reads DVD+RW then you will notice that it makes a lot less noise when reading. I and considering converting to DVD+RW for all my backups.
