A friend of mine has told me that a JAP PS2 modded with the Messiah 2 won't be able to play PAL games PAL DVD movies etc. Because a NTSC machine wont output a PAL signal. Just thought i would ask you this since you own a JAP machine.

I don't see why that would be an issue.....

I have a PAL V5 and it will output NTSC signals fine....
I would think it should work the other way also...:confused:

The only one I have at the moment is my PAL V5.... I have a US PS2 on the way.....

A JAP PS2 modded with a Messiah 2 WILL play PAL Games no problem (subject to the TV you have).

But because the DVD Movie frame buffer in the NTSC PS2 is smaller than in the PAL PS2, you cannot play a PAL movie in a JAP PS2.
