Conflict Desert Storm no cd???

I downloaded the latest patch for no cd but it says to replace the exe file with the one I downloaded. The patch is a ara file?? If I do that the game wont even launch. Can someone go into a little more detail on the procedure for using the no cd patch. Much appreciated. :-)

It should be a .rar file. Are you sure it ends on .ara ? .rar files are extracted using WinRar 3.0 (http://www.rarlab.com/rar/wrar300.exe). If you really have a .ara file, try downloading again, here (http://spacetarget.com/gcw/games/pc_conflict_desert_storm.shtml). And while you wait, maybe you could read this (http://www.fileforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=27030), it's interesting.

So your saying remove the original exe. file then unpack the rar. file and put it in its place??

I 'm looking for the no-cd patch but i haven't found it yet. :confused:
So I was pretty happy to see that there's some talk about on this forum.

Can anybody mail me this no-cd patch or give me a link.

I just checked GameCopyWorld and this (http://www.banner-trader.de/gcw/games/pc_conflict_desert_storm.shtml) turned up. Next time, read the stickies so you can look for it yourself.

I have found it already but thnx, this forum was the only one I found with google that were talking about it with some sense so I asked for it directly. But mainwhile i've been looking on gamecopyworld and found it.
