If the xbox can read songs burned onto a cd-rw without a mod-chip can it also play games burned onto a dvd-rw and work without a mod-chip? Or will I need a mod-chip to do this?

There has to be a way to play burned games without a mod-chip

Thanks in advance for any replies

No, backup game play cannot be done without a modchip.

There is no, and never will be a way to play copied games without a chip.

there are ships out now that don't even need to be soldered. All you have to do is flash the bios.

how would i flash the memory?? i read about it on websites but i still don't understand what it means?? Also where can i find info on that new x-ecuter 2 chip i have been hearing about??? Is it a solder one or a screw in one like the matrix?

Any info will be greatly appreciated.

I think x-ecutor will have a tool out to flash their chip. You can read about the chip at http://www.x-ecuter.com/

You have 3 choices to install it. By soldering, pogo pins (like the matrix), and some other one.
