Q1
If I chip my ps2
[I'm waiting for my Messiah 2]
Will Ntsc games work with a V4 pal Ps2
are there any problems with this
I was wondering because with the Psx it was Black&White etc
and I had to get a scart lead.
Q2
BG told me to Burn with a DVD+R
But if the Ps2 was meant for -r's then will +r's just
break my laser
Thanx Dudes:)

Also, where can I get Game Covers
This is a copy and paste of your Original question regarding this:
Q1.
I have got a Philips DVD +RW - D01
So it uses Dvd+r's and this dosen't work on ps2's
Can I use DVD-r's on my drive
Q2
For Dvds to burn it's Primo but what about
Ps2 cd's, what software do I use etc
This was my answer:
Answer to question 1:
The +R format will work on some ps2's... You will have to try it and see.
You cannot use the -R format with your drive..
Answer to question 2:
To burn CD based games, ALWAYS use Clone CD and a 100% compatible burner.....
I did not tell you to burn with the +R's...I told you that you had to burn with the +R BECAUSE thats all your drive will burn..... Unless you want to BUY another DVD burner.......
Yes..... NTSC PS1 games will work on your PAL V4....
If a scart lead solved your ps1 black & white problems, that may be what you will have to have on the PS2 also.....
Charlie may be able to report more in depth on this since he actually has one of the chips already....

A note on the NTSC debate
I've got a messiah chipped v3 PS2 with rgb fix. If I play a NTSC game on my old teevee it will give color, but the screen is shifted several centimeters to the left. Luckily some games give the option to adjust the screen but not all (such as PES2).
You won't have this problem if your tv can handle multi-frequency (50/60hz).
