Just converted to XBOX after selling PS/2 and DC.
I've just realied I've purchased one of the newer models of XBOX which has date of Sept 2002 and running the newer kernel.
Question - I want to purchase a mod chip asap, the Matrix no-solder looks the best option upon looking, does this run on the version xbox i have purchased ?
I've searched the forum but didnt see any solid info.

cheers.

Why have you chosen this over the Matrix/Xodus chip ?
Surely a non solder option is always better ?

A lot of people including myself prefer a nice solid soldered chip.
Also, the Matrix only has 256 kb rom.

Is this chip now available for the version 1.1 xbox ?

the matrix is better than the x-ecutor only because you can re-flash it.

If you don't have a modchip then get the new x-ecutor 2 that is comming out soon. Unlike the first one, it is re-flashable. Also this chip will work on any xbox, even the new ones.

Check out the x-ecutor site for details: http://www.x-ecuter.com/
Also, this chip is a no-solder (actually, you have a choice of 3 different methods of using to install the chip).

Hey thanks Quall999 thats the sort of info I was after, looks like I'll go for the new x-ecutor 2 in that case, just hope I dont have to wait to long for them to release:-)
