Do Modchips Damage PS2s?

Not with my experience it hasn't. It's normal crap media that's does it I reckon as it weakens the laser with excessive use. The Neo 2 and 2.2 mod chips did cause problems for my friend a while ago as it damaged his laser twice as a result of the capacitor and had to get another 2 Playstations.
