Ps2/Mod chips

ok guys im extremely new to this so let me just make sure i've got this straight. To play backup dvd copies I need a pioneer A04 dvd burner and a messiah 2 mod chip and then after I install the mod chip i just pop the copy in and it works, right? Does anyone have any information on where I can buy a Messiah 2 mod chip?

You need the mod chip to play backup games of ANY kind... DVD or CD based....
