Booting DVD Rip games with the knife trick

Hi
I have been booting psx and ps2 games for quite a while using the knife trick. Before recently I would only play psx or ps2 cd backups that were copied.

Today I was trying to boot a few DVD Rip games and I couldnt get any of them to work.

Is it impossible to play dvd rips without a chip?
or do I just need to patch them? :confused:

The size of the rip needs to be under 630mb to boot for you.


Im no big fan of no modders.

i do wanna get my ps2 modded.. i just need to find a place to do it for me cause id cause some major damage with a soldering iron lol
