making multiple CD-R backups

Ok, since i have never owned a ps2:

if you made a back up of a game on say.. 3 CD-Rs.. how would you play that? Would the game prompt you to enter in the 2nd CD (think not).. how'd that work?

you swap discs at certain points on each disc, usually the nfo or text file that comes with the rip kit tells you exactly where this is.
