First all everybody should go and read these posts on club.cdfreaks.com:
here (http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=57105) and here (http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=57221) and also here (http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=57277).

As these say, the new Securom v4.x is not impossible. I've just created a working 1:1 of UT2003, playable in my LG DVD drive. At the moment it's a long process but it's worth it in the long run. The only thing I believe you need for it to work is a very good reader, one that reads Alcohol 120%'s Data Position Measurement. All three of my drives don't unfortunately.

Next on my agenda is NOLF2.

yeah that may be the case, it's like all copy protections
just like the safedisc version changes, wait til safedisc v2.9 or v3

i hear what u r saying. For the moment though it works, if down the track someone comes up with a much better way that doesn't require all the screwing around that this way currently does, or as you said will work with all future updates, i'll be giving it a go. Just because this method is successful doesn't mean it's the be-all-end-all.
