Anyone know if there are any Installers in NYC or Queens, NY? Also, Is there a reliable place or source to buy premodded v7 PS2's with a Messiah2 or Magic2 installed?
I'm new here, so thanks for reading :-)

Try this site http://www.freedomlives.com. I believe it's an excellent place to get your PS2 modded or get pre-modded console, B.G has recommended it to those who live in the US. I think it's based in Chicago.
Hope this helps!!
YEP... Send it to Bill @ freedomlives....
You can contact Charlie_PS2 or Dust2Dust, through their profile, about the Messiah 2. They can sort you out....
When you get the Messiah 2, just ship it along with your PS2 to Bill, and a few days later, ENJOY!:D
http://www.chipinstallation.com for an international database of installers.
Of course, it would be better to go with Bill as the old timers endorse him. Someone from the database above: use at your own risk.
OLD TIMERS!!!!!:D
I am too!!!:p

Thanks guys for all the good info. Seems like Bill from www.freedomlives.com is the place to go. Also, I will e-mail charlie and pick up a Messiah2 :)
BTW, I have a SCPH-30001, WITHOUT the R. I believe this is a V4 Playstation2 because is has 8 screws on the bottom. Will the Messiah2 work for it? If not, how about a magic2?
Also, I would want my modded PS2 to be able to Play Xenosaga, but I heard that is on DVD9, What is DVD9?
Thanks

DVD9 = 9GB of storage instead of 4.7GB ( double-sided? )
You should be able to play the original fine ( see charlie's mod-chip result sticky )
But, seeing as how (as far as I know) consumers like ourselves cannot copy & burn DVD9 format, you will not be able to get a backup ( without using multiple discs if a rip kit becomes available, which I doubt will happen )
Messiah 2 has no problems playing the dvd-9 format....
Also, there are people working on breaking the dvd-9 as we speak.... I have a feeling it won't be very much longer until we will be able to backup this format also....
