Is a console for me?

Just before i was about to send my payment to charlie for the messiah (sorry charlie :P), i got thinking " do i REALLY need a console?"

See, i have a kick ass PC, it is stable as hell, i can get any PC game, I like sitting in front of my PC (which is my entertainment center)... so what do i get for my $400 ps2? (modding + accessories)

I have a 27" nothing-special Toshiba TV. The gameplay isn't any better on a console (is it?). Of course we all know that the graphics on a Geforce Ti4600 at 1280x1024 (my vid card and resoultion) look much better than a console. Then most console games get ported to the PC.

So, do i REALLY need to buy a console? I can afford it, don't get me wrong, but i don't want to spend $400 and then go back to my PC and i end up with an expensive piece of trash.

Well the decision is totally up to you. Think hard my friend. I personally dont like PC games as much as I do my PS2 games. But I dont think I have as much invested as you in my PC for gaming purposes.

A ps2 is a good machine man.

Let us see, if i buy a ps2 now.. get a few games (GTA:VC, SOCOM, TS 2).. and say you were in the market for a used ps2.. how much would you pay?

Just trying to see how much a used ps2 can get back out of the $400 that were spent on it.

Do a search on EBAY (http://www.ebay.com) for a used PS2 with 3 or more games and find your answer.

$250 ON ebay used ps2 and 3 game sif your lucky.....its all up to you if you what a ps2 or pc
