Hello Guys, I am a nebie but have tried reading post and am still confused about the.rar burning trick
I have made several copies using clonecd. I amnow intrested in downloading some backups from the site.
Most ps2 downloads are in .rar format.
I am not sure where to go from here. My question is, what are the next steps after runing winrar to decompress the files. And what program dou you use to burn.
Any help would be appreciated as i am new to this.
Thanks,
Zac
Read the rules before posting. Rule #3: No asking about already downloaded pirate ISO's/Rar's
He said to d/l back-ups which implies he owns the originals. Read the post before you judge too harshly huh :)
For CDs, I've had some luck using FireBurner. Just have it associate the files and all you have to do is open the cue and it's ready to go. I think TAO, use Burn Proof, close CD, and eject when finished are the best settings. Don't check any other options. Give it a go and see what happens!
I'm sure he has the original ;) If he did why wouldn't he make a straight copy or rip it himself?

Nowhere in his post does he say he owns the original, He said he wanted to download some games from a site which is illegal. This forum is for making DIRECT backups from games we own. Its not for ripping games or for downloaded ISO's. I am not trying to be mean or anything tsb_hcy but bighap is right. Everyday someone seems to stretch this rule. If the rules are not going to be followed then why have them!! Next thing you know this forum will be getting shut down or have to continually swap servers like PS2ownz.com does because nobody follows the rules!

I agree with Warlock on this
If you want to talk d/l iso or rars fair enough but do it somewhere else not here, and if you disagree with that then put forward your argument here and Charlie/Tyler can come along and ban you from the site totally.

Since you didn't specifically state that you own the original or not, I will "assume" that you do....
1st we need to know what format the files are in AFTER you uncompress them. (gi, bin, cue, etc)
Then we could better help you in determining what program to use....
NOTE to Warlock, PsxPaul & Bighap: I understand where you guys are coming from... The last few posts, about things like this, I have answered in the same fashion as you guys...
IF, he does not OWN the original, I FULLY AGREE with the three of you and I WILL NOT HELP HIM AT ALL....
The Only problem is that I am "unsure" if he does or not, and I have CAUGHT ALOT OF HELL about replying with the type of post you guys left...(Mainly because there original was so screwed up they couldn't do a direct copy... Although that was never mentioned until AFTER) So I'm trying to stay on middle ground.:p
Make NO MISTAKE, If I find out that they do NOT own the original, that will be ALL of the Help that I will provide..
So in closing, If zacattack, you have the original, I will help you to the best of my ability.... If NOT..... The HELP is OVER.....
Maybe this way I can make EVERYONE happy.....
:D

Thanks guys,
I do appreciate the help and was not trying to piss anyone off. I appreciate those who stuck up for me and also respect the rules. I am a newbie to this and just installed my mod for back ups, and am making a hobby out of this.. So once again thank you and in the future i will be more carefull of how i post.
Sincerely,
ZAC
