will the usb-mod work with dvd-r backups?
i don't thinks it's a neokey mod because the usb part of the mod is just a silver connector and not the box with a switch that is the neokey?
anyone familiar with this mod? i don't have details because someone did it for me.
Nope.... Its a junk mod....

can u suggest a mod that is easy to install that would boot dvd-r copies?
i would much prefer a solderless mod if there is one!!!!!
A no-solder will work( depending on what v console you have) and is a little better than a neo 2.2 but you must also buy a GS2 or AR2 along with DMC or DMC demo to boot dvd backups. In all its about the same $$ as it is to get a Magic 2 or Messiah and have it installed....Choice is yours but its hard to beat the no swap chips!!

EXACTLY...... :D If you go the "seemingly" cheaper way out, and get a no solder mod, you WILL REGRET IT......
Come up with the little bit of extra money and get a "direct boot" chip..... Its worth every penny.....

Thanks to warlock, i went from a usb mod to a no solder to now a magic 2, I dont know how i got along without the magic2 for as long as i did. There is no comparison to the no swap chips. I will never own anything else!

if i go for the messiah does anyone know of any good sites that show you how to install the chip i.e. where do you solder it too. graphical instructions would be a great help.
Unless you are A PRO at soldering, you are better off letting someone else do the install.... 23 wires of "nightmare" :D
