View Full Version : Ps2 Patches
Do i have to patch my ps2 backup games???
do i need to patch everyone of them???
do i need to patch just dvd based ones???
just cd based ones???
does it depend on my modchip???
does it depend on my verion of my ps2???
Depends on what type of mod chip you have.
Also depends on what program you use to backup your cd based games.
DVD based games do not require patching..
i have the new magic 2 chip
OK....
Now what program are you using to backup your cd based games.
AND what type of burner (ie model # etc) are you using...
i am using clonecd
and i have a buslink 40X burner
If your burner is 100% compatible with Clone CD, you DO NOT have to patch anything.... Just make a 1:1 copy...
how do i know if it is 100% compatible?
You can check here (http://elby.ch/english/products/clone_cd/writers/a.html) It needs to be Raw-DAO 96 compatible.
what if my burner is not listed, do i HAVE to do a patch...etc

If its not listed then its not 100% compatible.
You only have to patch if your game doesnt boot.
Tyler!
and where do i find patches for it, and how do i put the patch into the gme

I'd get a new (brandname) cdrbuner there cheap! Generic drive you have more problems with backing up stuff. (LG Drives suck too)
