I need your help...
Most of my ps2 backups don't work !
I use Cdrwin to burn them, but it's said that Clone Cd does it better...
Here is the pb: all my backup files are xxxxxx.BIN/CUE, and i'm
looking for the way to transform them into xxxxx.CCD or things like that.
If u know how should i do, please answer me, thanx.
NB: I don't use any modchip, but please, don't say i need it because i have more than 80 games whiches work perfectly...
Here's my experience with CDR-WIN and CLONE CD.
Both the programs will only backup ps2 cdr based games and not dvd based games.
Clone cd is the main choice because it is the best one to beat the copy protection of the ORIGINAL game.
If either the game that you are backing up has had the protection removed or has no protection then CDR-WIN will do a great job with your cue and bin files.
I prefer version 3.8 or 3.9.
Nero will also handle cue and bin files.
As to confirting cue and bin files to to other formats i've never done it or heard of it being done.
Maybe Charlie, Tyler, B G or dust can help with that one??
By the way B G i put Charlie first so that i don't stop him from TWINKLING !!! (The star that he is.)
Poor old DUST always gets put last and never gets a mention so he won't mind !

THANX ARGO
In other worlds, i can do nothing interesting of my BIN/CUE backups...
Can u tell me why all releases coming from the ps2 scene use CDRWIN to their burning software ?!?
maybe shall i use nero instead of Cdrwin...
Is there anything that i have to do to burn bin/cue files using nero ?
.... waiting for your response....THANX

:p Yeah... We wouldn't want to UPSET the "oldtimers":D
(Boy am I going to hear it from them about that);)
Oh yeah, there is a GOOD tutorial written for NERO on psxcopyworld.co.uk.(Unfortunately, the site is down at the moment):(
I'm not sure what you mean by INTERESTING (doing something with) regarding your bin and cue files.
What would you like to do with them!!
Regarding Nero i have 5. something or other and you open the dialogue window click on the different i want burn/ create cd option buttons untill you get to the main window.
Once there click on the file button (top left corner), select BURN image and you will be able to add your cue files as normal and away you go.
Cd-r Win is so popular simply because it is so popular if you see what i mean everyone has got it and it does a great job.
Why is it that your backups don't work?
Are the images not copying properly?
What method are you using to boot your games if yuor ps2 is not chipped.
If it's the knife trick i'm not going to get on your case about it it's your choice.

Well, i'm going to burn with nero for the first time.
I hope it'll work now.
"...interesting..." well, if nero doesn't seem working, i could trash all my backups...:(
Regarding to my images, they are properly burned (and tested before with SFVFILE check..).
I don't use knife trick, but simply i put off the cd tray cover to get access to the white cog, i use a thin steel wire to make it turning...it can't damage the console ( PAL). i launch the game with Action Replay 2.2.
How do you do to burn games that you could have downloaded ?
Which software do u use ?
:D , 1 2 3 .. 4......5.....waiting .........

A few weeks?
Sorry about that CF,
There's 2 conversations going on here.
If someone did download cdr ps2 games , someone would use Cdr-win or nero for cue and bin files.
Nero for nrg files, clone cd for clone cd image files and Easy cd creator for Easy cd iso files etc.
Argo.
Dec 25th not that far off.
Sheperds, yes and that reminds just the other day i was looking out into my garden and a dirty great big german sheperd jumped over the wall and had crap on my lawn, and if that wasn't bad enough his dog jumped over and had one as well!!

Ok check this out!
If I remember correctly Dust may have had the answer all along. He posted once that you could change the extension of a .ccd to .bin and back to .ccd. if you wanted to patch using the old version of PPF-O-Matic. Now since there is a new version that doesnt necessitate that that was old news.
Now since there is a need for some old news to fix some new age problem we could try that method. Change your .bin extension to .ccd and burn with CloneCD.
I would suggest that you burn your .bin files as if it would work on CDRWin to save as a backup if this fails. Then use that same .bin to burn in CloneCD.
If the above fails you can still make a fresh .bin using CDRWin off the game you previously burnt. Since even bad copies can make good copies.
Tyler!
