Hello,

I am new here.

I have a lot read about back up PS2-Games.

But I have still a lot of questions.

I have bought PS2 in decemre 2001 (GERMANY).

Then i gave my PS2 to a shop to modify it with a chip.
I don't really know what for a kind a chip it is, but i can playing all PS1-Games-Backups and in the shop they promised me that i can play Backuped PS2-Games with Action Replay 2.

So i bought the Action Replay Version 2.02.

And now my problem:

1. Can I copying PS2-Games with NERO or need I CdrWin???
2. What should i then do, with the AR2???
Please show me the way how to use AR2 with an backeduped
PS2-Game.
3. Should I patch first the game??

Please hlep me, especially with the question about using AR2.

For cd based games use CloneCd. If your burner is DAO 96 compatible no patching is necessary. You can see if your burner is DAO 96 compatible here (http://elby.ch/english/products/clone_cd/writers/a.html) For dvd based games PrimoDvd works best. No patching at all is necessary for dvd games. Check out http://www.psxcopyworld.co.uk/ for the CloneCd and PrimoDvd copy tutorials. The site is currently down but should be back up soon. As far as using you AR2 to boot, try the various methods listed in the sticky Factoids: Ps2 Boot Procedures For All Mod Chips!

Do you think that my mod chip is ok for playing burned PS2-Games??
I don't know what a chip it is but i can play all burned PS1-Games.

What are the sticky Factoids??? Where are they???

Why don't you just call the shop that installed the chip and ask them... That would be the easiest way.... OR we can sit here and guess which one it is...
When they tell you what you have, let us know, and then we can try and help you more...:cool:

And I have AR2 Version 2.02!!!

Whats About PS2-Games with DVD???
Can I only burn them ( i dont have a dvd-burner) with a special DVD-RIP for that GAME???

For example Desert Storm???
Is there a DVD-RIP?????

What should i do than??

You can make a rip of a dvd game but for it to fit on a dvd-r you usualy have to take out alot of crucial things from the game such as video sequences and so on.
