i've got a chipped ps2. i am using the origa 1.02 with the dvd region x to boot backups.
making backups from cd isn't really hard, while making dvd-rips is tricky for sure. i am able to manage both things.

now my questions:

i am going to buy a dvd-burner (a colleague of mine wants to sell his "old" one) unfortunately i don't know which kind of writer it is.

1)will i be able to do 1:1 copies from dvd games or do i have to patch them somehow?

2) will i be able to boot them with the origa 1.02 an the dvd-region x ???

3) a friend of mine is using the neo 2.2 and the latest action replay version. is it possible to him to boot dvd-backups ???

4) which one is the best dvd-backup tool ???

5) i heard that most of the ps2-dvd games are single-layed.
are there any games on dvd which can't be backuped ???

i would be glad, if someone could help me.

thankx !!!

You NEED to find out what model the burner is BEFORE purchasing it!!

There is no need to patch DVD based games.

2) will i be able to boot them with the origa 1.02 an the dvd-region x ???

Charlie_PS2 will be able to answer this question better because he has a origa chip..

3) a friend of mine is using the neo 2.2 and the latest action replay version. is it possible to him to boot dvd-backups ???
