Yes you can....Use Primo DVD to back them up and use the tutorial on primo that was written by Charlie_PS2...
You can view the tutorial here..Primo Tutorial! (http://www.psxcopyworld.co.uk/Primo_Tutorial.htm)

BUT....You WILL need a modchip to play the backups.

thanks BG

i have a messiah chip and i found a backp guide for nero and used that to backup burnout 2 - it was basically copy dvd.

the dvd-r copy boots up ok but hangs before the race?

is this a check disc or dvd check or something and how do i stop it?

What type of DVD-R's are you using?
Also, try USING primo dvd....There have been a few people that have used NERO and had some problems...When they started using Primo and following the tutorial, everything worked fine....

ok, really stupid question do you have to "DO" nething to the backup dvd's like patching or nething?

the media isn't a problem - they are the raw ps2 dvd discs from a warehouse that supplies a publisher.

BG

No, there is no patching necessary for dvd games...(At least not yet)

Wot speed you burning at,,,,try 1x, if i burn't any faster with verb disks then my backups would freeze or take a lifetime to load,,,,,,,

I am burning at 1 x and i am also reading it into my hard drive at the minimum speed and i still have problems. I know it works because half my back ups do play but 1/2 the time is not very cost efficient. And Pioneer, Apple and Memorex discs are not cheap no name brands.

Just go to your local electronics store and purchase a cd or dvd cleaning cd (the ones with the little brushes on it.) Hopefully that will take care of your problems...

i just bought 5 verb disc's and it cost me £34.99 can't you get them anywhere cheeper?

C.R.G
18-10-2002, 06:47
Dont complain, the Verb discs are 13.00 each here and that is at the cheapest place in town.

I tryed the disc cleaner with the brushes but still have the same probelm.

I found a mod chip installer in the area and am going to try my back ups on his machine through the weekend. he can also ajust my laser if required.

That should answer a few questions, i will let you know how it turns out.

The backups that freeze,,have you tried them on any of your m8s ps2,,,,if they work on another ps2 then it could be you've got a lazer problem,,,,,,,process of elimination, got to be the only way to go
