Copied Crash Bandicoot:wrath of Cortex and seems to load forever and then it stays the Loading screen without any disc movement. All my other copies work fine. Also the original disc seemed to take forever to boot too. ANyone else have problems with Crash? thanks

I also used CloneCd but before that used Clony to set up CloneCd, so I have no idea what setting it used, but I did use a CD off a spindle of 50 unbranded ones, and it works without any problems.

So I would hazard a guess that it's your setting that are causing a problem rather than the media

I use Clony XXl also, but if you don't have it, try using these settings.

Set Clone CD to these settings When reading the disc.

Tick Read Sub-channel Data from Data Tracks.
Tick Read Sub-channel Data from Audio Tracks.
Tick abort on read errors.

When writing the disc set Clone CD to these:

Write Speed: 4X or lower
Write Mode: RAW DAO
Tick Don't repair sub-channel data
Tick Always close last session

This should make you a working backup....

On the write speed: Most writers can burn alot faster that 4X, but if you are having a problem with a certain game, always burn at a slower speed..

My crash bandicoot takes forever also - it also returns to the load screen again, but, it does load every time (eventually)! Try leaving it alone while loading to see if it does actually load m8.

Same here, the original as well as the backup takes forever to load.

Warlock.....
Does your Original & Backup take forever to load when you first put the game in, or are you talking about when you go from world to world and Crash is in the middle of the screen (looks like he's falling) and the word "LOADING" is flashing across the top?

Yeap those are the same settings i use too. Never had any trouble before. I just copied Pacman Fever and Silent Scope3 without any problems. It might just be the Crash disc.

World to world. It takes forever but it always loads.

Ok.....I would hesitate and say that its NORMAL.....I just tested the original on a friend of mines PS2.....His is un-modded and about a month old V7.... It takes almost the exact same amount of time to go between worlds on his V7 with original disc as it does on my V5 with backup disc.....(which seems too long to me also) But I guess it just happens to be this game.....
