When I load the game the screen rolls up to down. I have the Euro version bin/cue (I can make out the Euro flags at the beginnning) and Jap PS2. Is the game PAL and that is what's causing the problem? Does it need a patch before I burn with Fireburner? All the patches I found were said to be incompatible by the patching program. Is there a patch I can use or method to make it work? Can I connect the PS2 to my PC monitor and play? Thanks

YEP....The game is PAL....That is the reason it rolls....Unless you can find a patch (PAL to NTSC which is difficult to find), or have a multi-system tv you are out of luck.....

Yes, but you have to have a converter to do it....
I am unaware of a patch because I copied mine with Clone CD from a original (NTSC) and it works perfectly...Sorry I can't help you with the patch....
The easiest way to avoid things like this, is burn from a original game, so you know EXACTLY waht you are getting...:cool:

I haven't seen a PAL to NTSC converter either. I'll try to find a NTSC version somewhere or play on my monitor until then. In Taiwan, no one rents out games, so finding an original without buying it is difficult. Maybe I'll go copy crazy next time I get back in the states. Guess maybe sometimes you gotta go to the local shop and pay $1.50 for your backup instead of doing it yourself for 15 cents, haha. Thanks again.

Their are PAL-NTSC convertors out there BUT....They are VERY expensive....:mad:
If you can't get ahold of a original, e-mail me through my profile .....I'll see what I can do to help you out....:D

I guess it ain't so bad on the pc
I've got 5.1 on the PC and video out to the 21 inch bedroom tv
the only prob is lugging the ps2 from the living room and back
I'll just play all the pal games I get my hands on at the same time, then move it back

Its PAL, if you still have the bin/cue or iso image you can try using the generic patcher below or copy the cd to your hd then patch and burn back.

It seems to work sometimes checking for pal or ntsc vmode etc, nice tool.
