Biiiig problem when burning RA2

Hello everybody! I'm new here (but you probably noticed yourself).

I have the folowing problem: I bought Red Alert 2 when it just came out. I'm French, so I had to buy the French version (Alerte Rouge 2). I'm using a LITE-ON burner and I use CloneCD to backup my games. (I have Nero as well, but I don't use it for making game backups).

I'd like to make a backup of Red Alert 2, and I did with CloneCD...
I could play the game (which I installed with the original,bought CD) with the copy without any problems. But when I wanted to reinstall the game (just for testing) It didn't work! My computer just blocked. I tried to make another backup, but I had the same problem. I also tried to test the installation on another computer, but it still didn't work.:mad:

I suppose I need a crack... but, I have the FRENCH version! And I don't find any backup-crack for the french version anywhere. Now here is the question (finally): Would my backup of the french version also work with a crack for the american (or english) version?? If not... where can I find a crack for the french version?????? I really need help. :(

And for all precision: I want a backup-CD crack, NOT a no-cd crack!

Allthough I don't understand what is going on your system (i.e. why your system blocks), here is a possible solution for a backup-cd patch:

Get Safedisc2Cleaner from bOOls eYe's page (http://www14.brinkster.com/boolseye/) to get rid of the sd2 protection.
(Assuming the french version also uses sd2!)
