I would appreciate it if anybody could help me out in making a backup copy of Neverwinter Nights.

I am using a Song CDRX16E writer, along with the latest version of CloneCD. How should I go about making a backup? Can I manage it with CloneCD, or is there a cracked EXE I can use to replace the original and re-burn the files to a CD-R?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks,
Josh

I was able to make a working backup with clonecd v 3.3.4.1

I TICKED the following settings:
(for cd3, 1 and 2 are not protected!)

Read:

Speed: Max
Audio sub
Data sub

Write:

Laser calibration
Buffer underrun
Don't repair subs
Close last session

Unfortunately this worked only 2 out of 5 times. 3 coasters.

Since the Securom stuff gives too many customers a real headache with the *original* CD, they removed the SecuROM checks in patch 1.24 (or 1.23, I'm not sure) and rely solely on CD checks.

This means you simply have to ignore read errors while copying with any program and apply the latest patch to use a backup CD.

However, no-cd .exe-files are found on GCW.

Great, thanks...Downloaded patch 1.25 and it works perfectly.

Thanks again,
Josh

It not difficult man. Just put the read speed at less than 4x use the Securom 4x/5x profile and must works. It is even more easy since Bioware removed the cd check in the patch 1.66 son you won't need the cd to play

Neverwinter Nights can also be converted to a DVD. See here (http://www.fileforums.com/showthread.php?t=74158) for details.

And like 'acal3000' has said, yes the v1.66 patch removes the CD Check. So be sure to include that patch on your converted DVD. ;)
