Im getin a no solder modchip for V4 PS2. I got a Version 2 gameshark. I heard ppl say that u need a v1.93 to play DVD games. Is that tru o do u need a gameshark that is 1.93 or greater? And i also got another question to people who have this chip. Do u like it? does it have a lot of problems. Any other relevant coments would b apreciated.

Ever consider a no swap mod chip like the messiah, magic 2, or apple? Much easier than dealing with a no solder chip.

I tot long and hard about that but im too scared about it F$#ing up my ps2. Mayb ill get it later but for noe i hope this wil do unles u can give me a better reason. Besides it being swap.

Search through the forum and look at how many problems are associated with the no solder mod chip...(patching games, things not booting, dvd rips, etc......)
That should be reason enough..... Without even mentioning the fact that you have to SWAP......

Yes you have to be a very experienced at soldering to do a messiah/magic/apple. Bill at www.freedomlives.com does installs. He charges $60 for all three of the chips mentioned above.
