I am looking for a Fixed exe for NHL 2003. The one i managed to find so far doesn't work: the game loads ok but crashes when you try to enter the AI menu or play...

Also bool'sEye SafediskCleaner 1.12 creates a loader that doesn't work....

The game is protected with Safedisk 2.60.52.

You sure that fixed exe file is the problem??? I'm hearing alot of people who actually bought the game are having crashing when using the AI screens.. btw, I cleaned my exe with bOOls eYe safedisc2 cleaner 112 and it seems to work fine for me with a burned copy..

No, i am not sure that the problem is the fixed exe... but:

I made a loader with SafediskCleaner 1.12 and the game loads but then crashes on most screens!

Either the game has too many bugs/incompatibilities or it has added protection (as is the normal these days)...

I have seen games like Patrician 2 where you bypass the CD protection and then the game displays garbage on screen after exactly 2 mins of play!

I'm saying it's a bug problem within NHL2003 that has nothing to do with the crack... I've installed and played it with the original CD and I always get 4 'script' errors after the 1st EA Sports screen and when finishing a game going back to the main menu.. Those are the only problems for me... The game works fine otherwise..

I'm saying the cd crack is knackered as razor posted saying it was and that they are gonna do another one.

Using the Razor fixed .exe fine here.
AFA the crashes, the new NHL 2003 frontend uses IE6(HTML) pages. The crashes have been traced to a setting in Internet Options. Go to "View\Encoding" and make sure "Auto-Select" is NOT checked. In mine it's on "Western European (Windows)" and the game runs fine.
This ss a known "bug" in the game and the solution has been posted on many of the NHL "fan-site".

K i did what you posted in terms of the IE6 encoding...that never worked for me... i did however try another fix where you have to go into regedit and enter another key to accomidate for nhl2003.exe. That allowed me to get as far as the menu screen i picked my teams and was all set...hit play and it locked up...

I was wondering where the razor crack is at?...i wanna try it so i don't need my game disc..i want to see if thats the problem...

Same problem here! The NoCD i am using (it's not Razor's) and the loader i made with SafediskCleaner load the game ok but when i setup the teams and click to Play... i get a crash to desktop!

Another protection layer maybe or simply bugs????

NOTE:

The game tries to connect to EA if you are on-line when you load it!

I can't even run nhl 2003 even with the no cd patches.
I downloaded the class rip and I can't seem to be able to run it in xp. Does anyone have the same problem?

Bah..wtf. I got the cd and I have tried both pathes..same problems. When I launch the white screen comes and then POW back to windows baby. Has anyone got any more pathhes other than that shitty razor?

When I use the crack from that site (copy it over the regular exe in the NHL 2003 directory) it says to "please run the game from the CD rom" and then when I press ok, the game shuts down. I can't get any farther than that. Someone have any ideas?

If I use Safedisk 2 cleaner to create an exe I can get to the title page (where it shows Iginla) but then I get dumped back to windows and it once again says "please run the game from the CDrom". I have no idea what the problem is

First open IE6, go to View/Encoding and make sure that Auto-Select is NOT checked.

If the game drops you to desktop when you click Play then it's a video card/driver problem. Note that the game DOESN"T support older video cards like Voodoo 3 for example...

look, EA forum is full of people complaining about NHL 2k3 not working.
There must be some probs with video cards...
they said "it's compatible with these cards" but im not SO sure they really tested them all :D

Too many people complaining, they will probably release a patch t fix it :)

Everytime i try to start the game I get a popup from Norton Anti Virus saying that this is a malicious code. I noticed someone else saying they get this also. I get it from both Razor's and Gimphs. I still dont know if the crack works or not because when Norton comes up saying its a virus i stop.

Anyone else with this problem?

hey im from megagames but is there any SOLID info on getting this game to work...some ppl say "cards are teh prob" some others say "the crack is the prob" now i have the game but lost the disc but i have a bin...so ive tried a few cracks but get a malicous code and i will not open it..ill always press stop...it goes to a screen with the windows media player 9 bar then eth code comes...how have u guy gotten it to work? plz post

if u have the original cd?
can u get it to work with the cd?
some basic pc specs? like processor/vid card/sound card
and what u did?

The game has many bugs... There are fixes for some of them at the EA technical support page (ex. crashes with Media Player 9 and when View/Encoding/Auto-Select is enabled in Internet Explorer 6)

Also older cards like Voodoo3 don't work with this game (although Voodoo3 works fine with Madden 2003!)

So i don't think that the FixedExe/NoCD is the problem...

i got the update for ie6 and i got as far as the intro ...BUT norton says theres a malicious code in it...what do i do now?..and im using the safedisc unwrap i made for the original exe

I don't know much but the 2 No-CD fix I tried doesn't work either : when I start theg ame it ask me to run the game from the CD-ROM
