i have been reading lots of messages this week sense i installed my pioneer 104 going by other peoples problems i have already got pxengine upgrade i have burned 3gig of music no problem but when i burn ps2 game gt3 using primo it copies ok but when i try to boot it up it loads the first part and then nothing when i look for my .gi image it seems to go into 3 parts please help me charlie &gang or IWILL NEED AA

Which part of .gi image u load to copy?Nomally the original name u name is the one to load to copy..Its work 4 me every time.

You load the .gi file without the number ion brackets. They are just 2GB portions of the DVD - split so it works with Windows 98 FAT 32

i am using windows xp pro. when i look for my .gi image i get gt3(11).gi gt3(12).gi and i load gt3.gi the file i named and it copies but does not load the full game only start with name of cars i have ps2 v5 with messiah (see i do read a lot i always take good advise)

this afternoon i made a dvd-r of v rally 3 from a copied dvd-r ( i browsed and copied vr3.gi) is my ploblem only originals or is it just my gran turismo 3

Did ur window xp pro run at FAT 32 or NTFS?If its run at NTFS than u can copy 1 : 1 bcause NTFS support file larger than 2gb...

another solution
if u have a good dvd rom
ao4 secondary primary
dvdr secondary slave

copy it on the fly
try it i have np at all
worse can happen is buffer underun u waste a disk u know then not to try again
if worried about disk test it first before burning

back again-I'M RUNNING FAT32\ DVD-R DISC'S I USE ARE WHITE LABEL GEN 4 DVD-R (big pockets.co.uk) .dvd rom is samsung reads ps2 games ok .dvdrw is pioneer 104. dvd rom set as master-dvd rw set as slave \the vr3 game i copied from dvdr copied game was 3.4 gb so if i have to change from fat32 to ntfs what part do i convert drive of dvd rw or is it the hard drive itself i'm rather scared to do this because i'm not to sure of how to do it . i ordered more disc's today dvdr&dvdrw.sorry for all this hassle .maybe i can help someone else sometime

well that is probably ur problem with the media ur using try apple dvd-r or mirror dvd-r but the ones im using now which i have burnt 60 + ps2 dvd games with 100% success is the new neo dvd-r made for ps2 games and cheap at the price of only 80p well thats what i get them for but off there web site they are £1.95 hope this is any good

You could also try 'TECHNO' dvd-r media, as i use these all the time for all my PS2 dvd backups, just as good as verbatim and Traxdata i reckon. £1.00 each at the site below.

:D i changed my fat32-ntfs this evening and i was successful with my gt3 a spec i would like to thank everybody for helping me (now where is my bud) CHEERS!!!
