Help on burning [Archive]

Hi all,

I have a PAL brand new Xbox, modded with an X-ecuter !
Being totally new to Xbox, I have some questions, hopefully someone can help me?

I have tried to burn wwf raw and epsn nba2night on CD-RW verbatim 700 MB.
Wwf raw loads fine, but freezes at the wwf logo.
Epsn nba2night tells me that the disc is invalid (the game actually starts to load, but stops with a black screen telling me it is invalid).

My questions is : is there a NTSC/PAL kind of protection on those games that makes them not work?
Or is it just the burning which failed?

I don't think it is due to the CD-RW, since they appear to boot (I tryed before on CD-R verbatim, and the xbox told me the disc weren't recognized).

Maybe it's the newer xboxes (for the game that freezes).

As for the game not being read, it could be a bad iso, or the game could have been burned wrong. I also had a game that used to get that message, but it didn't always come up. I think the xbox has a lil trouble reading cd-rws sometimes, so it could be the xbox.

I tried burning both games once again (at 2x this time, first time it was 4x), and wwf raw always hangs at the wwf logo, and epsn nba2 night is still not recognized by the Xbox.

So I hope that this comes from either the Isos or the CD-RW, and not from the Xbox...
Since I have already burned emulators that work on it, I have confidence that this should not come from the Xbox.

Hint: Nero obliges me to finalize the CD-RW when I burn nba2night, may be this is the cause for the reading failure?

Has anybody with a PAL xbox already experienced that kind of problems? Did someone manage to read the disjunction WWF raw release?

same problem:

i have a pal xbox and nighcaster iso ntsc and i have burned it but i have also upload files to xbox hdd and same problem, loading page for 2 second and then nomore..........

I tried the cd-version of nightcaster ntsc, and it played fine. It might be because your running an ntsc on a pal, but probably not.

I have to say that this game was a total waste of my money. My local funcoland will only give 17 bucks for it, so your aren't really missing anything.
