Max payne, Turok, acting funny will not load properly hanging the system. Great copy of tetris, Rallisport and Gunmetal. NFL2K3 is over 5 GB any suggestions on how to get it on a 4.5 GB DVD-R or RW. Any help would be appreciated thanks a lot in advance.

The funny noises is the dvd rom working xtra hard to read the game. I don't think there's anything to worry about. My DC did the same thing.

As for fitting the game on a 4.5gb dvd, hmm... You can find the smallest movie file, and replace all the other movie files with it. Same thing with the sound files. Also, if there are any game demos, then there is a way to remove those. They tend to take up alot of room.

Thanks alot on the large game file info. But the problem i am having with the other games is that the system is locking up the the burned games. With turok i cannot see any words only colored or white rectangles. Also Max payne starts up great but as soon as it starts loading the system hangs.

The only reason that I can think of that makes your games do that, is maybe it's missing files. Someone usually gets the game to work, or not at all. I've never heard anyone have games that mess up or just hang. You might have to wait a while until the problem becomes more common.

:) Thanks. I looked again at NFL2K3 and it is over 3 GB's not 5. That game will not even boot. I tried ripping the file 4 times. and burning 4 times. Talking about a day wasted. You are probably right I hope someone figures it out. But for the most part they all work except those 3. NFL2K3, Turok and MaX Payne. Used Flash FTP the same way I did with the rest of the games. But who knows. I just Hope I do not have the same problems with my sony machine. Not going to mention the name. Don't want anyone getting made. :D

I am having the same issue with NFL2K3. I have ripped it twice and it still will not boot on the Xbox.

I have ripped 25 other games that all worked fine.

I am using Evolution-X Bios v. 2.3

Is this game protected?

=( I am having the same problems with Bruce Lee and Obi-Wan. Bruce Lee loads with no text, only white rectangles. Obi-Wan goes to title menu, but no sound. And soon as it loads a level it hangs. Halo booted with no problems. Is there a list of games that is not backup-able?

That's interesting maybe it's the media. Maybe some of the media will not work with some of the larger games. I am using the cheap Great Quality DVD-R's. But all of my games work. I even got OBI Wan to work. Just recently made an iso of Robotech I will die if it does not work. I am on hold burning the cd because I took my Pioneer A04 back to get the new sony model that writes both + and - media. The only problem is this strike going on in Oakland CA. So the store I work in is still waiting on them. Any one else having issues with the games please keep us posted.

NFL 2k3
Turok
Obi-Wan

Just add to the list of problematic games

Hi, this is my first time here. Our disk loading problems disappeared as soon as we started using decent quality dvd-rw disks
