set me straight, been trying to backup xbox games same as ps2 with pioneer 104, but keeps saying read error. now that im reading more and more about this, am i correct in assuming that you must backup the game first onto the hardrive of the xbox as an iso file and then copy iso file to dvdr disc. if so, how do u tranfer iso file from xbox to computer to be able to write the file with your dvdr writer.
has anyone been able to backup an xbox original game with their stand alone pc with nero or primo? i cant get either one to read it correctly.
thanks for the posts in advance
1 obtain mod chip-install into xbox
2 obtain evo x- burn to cd/rw or dvd/r
3 obtain cross over network cable-connect pc to xbox
4 obtain knowledg on peer to peer networking-very simple
5 obtain ftp client
6 download files from d folder (XBOX DVD-ROM Drive)
7 obtain xbox iso tool kit- create iso file
8 burn iso file with prassi, nero or whatever
9 This should work with +-%5 degree of failure rate
Good luck

thanks man, only thing im not sure about is reason for need to obtain ftp client. isnt that just for exchange files over the internet? if im downloading the iso file from the xbox to my pc via the crossover cable, there is no need for ftp client, correct? thanks for the help.

well, you load up evolution-X on your xbox (by replacing the xbox dashbord) then put your game in the box. Then you can ftp to your xbox. Use FlashFXP (http://www.flashfxp.com), it's the best. Anyways, you connect to your xbox with it, and copy files directly from the xbox game, to your PC. You then create an iso file from all the files you copied and burn it.
