Step 1: Find out what protection it is.
Step 2: Read VLukas sticky Tutorial

If you could tell me exactly what program and settings to use, I'd REALLY appreciate it.

Read the tutorial again.
You need correct EFM encoding in order to make a 1:1 backup of safediscv2.6. The Sony1611 doesnt have that.

HEY ...a feeb needs some help! I have been trying to find if my burner (an HP 9100) has any sheep...and if I am able to make a 1:1 copy of BF1942.
I cant find the info...and yes... I checked HP site and Search for this site w no luck. Sorry. but some help would be great. I've tried burning it with ClonyXXL & CloneCD4...and I have 4 coasters so far.
By the way, those skulls in Clony..what do they mean, exactly. I dont speak German Some of the tabs are in english.

Thanks guys for the input.

1) Your writer should not have any sheep, and as VLuka said: No sheeps, no luck.

2) The more skulls, the harder to copy (hard work for your hardware)

3) There is an english version of clonyxxl. Try to search google for it. I don't know where to get it.
But someone else should know.

Up where? Sorry bud...im new to this and I don't see a faq & I can't find any info on sheep and burners under "Search" here, or anywhere else on the web. It really is'nt all that easy to search out this stuff if your just starting out.
Will your tutorial help me out? I just need to find out if there is somewhere I can look to see if an HP 9100 can handel the latest safedisc (2.60?).
Thanks again for the replies.....

Check out this site (http://elby.ch/english/products/clone_cd/writers/h.html#hewlettpackard) to find out that your writer hasn't any sheep, thus you are not able to make a 1:1 copy of sd2.6....

MMMH, not to mess things up:

You can make 1:1 copy of a copy, but this will not result in a working copy, if the copy you copied from was not a 1:1 copy.
It will only be a working copy, if the copy you copy from is an exact 1:1 copy!
(?????????????????)
Easy, isn't it ? ;)

I made a working backup with my TDK VeloCD 40/12/48B and CloneCD. No amplify weak sector was needed.

The game does a check of the CD for CDR Media
I put it in my DVD drive and it works, or set my region to Canada and use the "hide CDR media" option in CloneCD's System Tray.

I am still looking for a NO-CD crack that works, IE: does not break online play. I don't need a "fixed EXE" because I own the game, I do need a No-CD crack because I F'ing HATE having my CD in my drive for no good reason other than wearing out my hardware and risking damage to the CD when I slip up and drop it.

Now, about CloneCD's Supported Writers section. IT NEEDS TO BE UPDATED! The TDK VeloCD 40/12/48B (and X?) DOES support correct EFM encoding. I believe it is based on the Lite On drives?

PS: Why do people like the God awfull overpriced Plextor's so much? They are NOT that great at all. Most people I know that have them have nothing but trouble. I bought a Plxtor CDRW/DVD combo drive and it was junk.
