Hi.

Don't know if u have seen my other post bf , but i'm really anxious to get PrimoDVD working 100%. Do have Pxengine311, as i remember u saying something about problems with the FAT32 file system in windows ages ago. If so could u e-mail it Pls to 'Tyrant411**********com'. As the one i got from the link that Dust2dust gave me wouldn't install.

Have you tried taking DMA OFF your secondary IDE channel? I forget he exact PXEngine error I got, but taking DMA off did the trick.

I changed the Setting to 'PI0' only on my Secondary IDE channel, as this was the only other option i could choose other than DMA. Installed the new 432 version of Pxengine. By the way how do u check to see if it's installed okay.

However, i'm still getting the same results as before every time i copy a disk to a global image. At the moment, i've tried everything i know, e.g. nearly every PS2 DVD-R game that i've got etc, to see if that certains game were the cause.

I really don't know what do anymore, spent the last two night trying to figure it out. LOL!!

Anyway, if u know any other solutions let me know pls

Is your DVD writer the only thing that is connected to you secondary ide channel?? I know some people that had problems when "daisy-chaining" the A04 with other drives...

Have you tried using NERO to copy a dvd game.
If NERO doesn't work either it could well be a faulty a04.
My first a04 lasted 2 days then it had to be changed.
Or like others have said it might not be connected correctly,
depending on the motherboard you have to make sure your using
the correct ribbon connecting the a04 to the motherboard
eg, 80 conductor or 40 conductor.

My burner is set as a secondary master, with a HD connected with it set as a Secondary Slave. I've tried Nero V5.5.9.9 and that seems to work okay. I know i shouldn't ask this, but what format are DVD PS2 ISO's when they are downloaded?

You should have at 2 ide connectors on your motherboard, unless
you have a raid set up.
The hard drive should be connected on ide slot one.
Any cd drives or dvd drives should be connected on slot two.
Definately not on the same slot as the hard drive.
Try setting them up that way and let us know how you go on.

u could also try this
i not sure if u got a03 or ao4

to get prassi to work with the a04 i use px engine update 327 not 311

as for what format r downloaded isos
lol depends on which program other person uses to copy them

normally nero or primo as these r main dvd copying software that people use

and as argo said u got things on the wrong cables

hardrive on primary master
dvdwriter secondary master
cd/dvdrom secondary slave

Thanx for the info guy's. Here is my configuration below...

So i have to set up my A04 as a Secondary Master with my Mitsumi CD burner as a slave to that and then my C: drive as a Primary Master with my other HD as a Primary Slave.

Cos my set up at the moment is, A04 Secondary Master with a HD as a slave to that. Bootable HD as a Primary Master, with the Mitsumi Burner as a slave to that. Does that make any sense?

However, i have other 2 IDE connecters which i'm Assuming they are RAID. Can i add another IDE CD-ROM Drive etc to them, or do they only support HD's?

Since you have a total of 4 ide channels you should be able to use the other two for your cd rom.... Try to leave your A04 on a channel all by itself....
Most motherboards with 4 IDE channels will use the last 2 for RAID but will allow them to be used as a normal channel instead of RAID...
Set your hard drives as master/slave on the same ide...
Then set your DVD-R/CD Rom as Master & Master on two seperate ide channels....:cool:

Thanx again u guy's, it's finally working now i think. Here is what i have done.

A04 Secondary Master, DVD-ROM drive Secondary Slave.
Bootable HD Primary Master, Mitsumi CD Burner Primary Slave.
And my other HD on the IDE 3 Raid channel.

Copied PAL GTA3 to a Global image via Primo, burnt it back to A04@1X, 100& results.
