View Full Version : Neokey and AR2 Help
HI, I have a v1 US PS2 and I purchased a Neo-key and an Action Replay V2 and I was wondering if they play DVD-Rs. I also needed to know where I could get a patcher. Last but not least, I was wondering if there was anyone who sells cheap PS2 DVD-R or CDR Backups. I heard that they can make CD-R copies of certain DVD and DVD-rom games, but there are certain elements missing.Let me know if this was true.
Thank You!
(If we copy PS2 games, we should probably encourage the knife trick, the amateurs can put back money that we deprived from those companies with our copying.)
For the 10.000th time a USb mod WILL NOT BOOT DVD-R. Read the forum rules, no asking for apps/warez and by all means use the search engine. All of this info has been covered numerous times.

Here, Warlock. When ole' GW has finished with Iraq, perhaps he could campaign against and eliminate all those cheapskates who not only want to buy bootleg games but also want to shove a knife and twist it hari-kiri style into the guts of their lovely, Japanese PS2. How fitting. Then GW can nuke Japan again as a final act of patriotism!

Why didn't you get a Magic 2 instead of the Neo-Key???
OR, Why didn't you ask this question BEFORE you purchased???
Your other question about the backups: YES there are people who do it, BUT its up to you to find them, since you can't ask on the forum...(If you would have read the rules you would have known that)...
And YES, you can make a CD-R copy of a DVD game: Its called RIPPING...(Very time consuming and basically a PAIN IN THE A$$)
You know, I did check the forum and didn't find anything. Since you can't search the site with words less than 4 letters long, I couldn't search by usb, Neo Key, or box. And, searching Neokey or Neo-key didn't have anything I saw that talked about DVD-Rs, atleast I don't think there was. And, the website that sold it to me did not show this problem. However, I did keep my receipt and am asking for a refund as I have not opened the Neo Key yet. Now all I need is a a website that sells the right mod chip.
Later
Lik-Sang.com (http://www.lik-sang.com/catalog/product_info.php?category=41&products_id=2000&) sells the Magic 2......and OTHER chips.
Also..... BEFORE you buy another chip check out this chart.... It compares most mod chips and shows you what each one will do.....
Mod chip comparison chart! (http://www.ps2modchips.com/charts/charts.php)
