Hi I have recently bought Pioneer AO4 DVD-R/RW drive and I was trying out to copy PS2 DVD games but it doesn't let me because it is protected :( (note: it's less than 4.7GB ) I have PrimoDVD, Nero 5.5.9.9, DVD Decrypter, IfoEdit, Ulead DVD, SpruceUp DVD can anyway tell me how to burn protected dvd PS2 games in detail PLEASE :)~~~~~~~ I really need help!! :)

You have a nice arsenal of DVD copying programs. ;) Almost as resiliant as mine. :p But all you really need is your PrimoDVD.
What version of Windows do you have? If you have anything under Windows ME then your image size will stop at 2gigs. Windows ME stops at 4gigs. XP you need not even worry about image size. If you have Windows 2000 you will have to change your FAT32 to NTFS, then you will have no problems.
Your easiest way out of this problem is to download the patch for Prassi Primo DVD it breaks up your image into 2gig pieces until finished.
Ok now if you are having some sort of other problem, please go into detail into what is going on. What game, what happens, and most intriging what protection?

yeah I have Windows XP and suppose I might have to try that patch because that's the problem I get "there is not enough memory in the temp directory"
btw is it possible for u tell where I could get it?

hmmm I don't really get how that update works :(
I"ve downloaded PxEngineUpdate342.exe and it extracts files to temp file but there is no installing going ..... any suggestions?

also I must patch this primoDVD to copy protected games by creating a image first? or is there a setting that I must choose?

You need to extract the pxengine update into your PrimoDVD folder (C:\Program Files\Prassi Primo DVD\)

dvd have no protect just copy it no patching needed
unless u want to patch pal-ntsc or vice versa
ppf3 is only patcher i know of compatible with dvd patching
but i never tested it as i got no need to patch

btw how do we determine which protection it has?? also the ones over 4.7GB is not copyable ??

there is no protection except for sony protection which your chip defeats
there r no dual layer ps2 games yet
