I'm sad. I shipped my Magic2 v7 (with red pcb) and my PS2 30001 R to Bill for install and BOOM, nothing. Modchip.CA assured me that the v7 problem was fixed AND that it was compatibile with my PS2 30001 R v5 or v6. I'm at a lost here.

I don't want to swap CD's and I don't want to re-ship my unit to Bill for another shot at this, what are my options?

I was thinking about getting the RIGHT chip and having them ship it directly to Bill, but which one do I get that will work with my PS1 model/version?

If I get another PS2 how can I check the version number in the store and which one will work with a Magic2 v7, provided the chip is good?

(I thought this was pretty simple, what happened?)

TIA

Not sure what gone wrong but magic 2 chip (red PCB) should work on ur V5/V6 board.(could be fault installation)
