Hi all, new to the forums, how's it :)
I keep getting errors trying to burn Ikaruga. tried converting it to a nero image with cdi2nero, no luck. the image converted but when i burnt the game it didn't run on my dc. dj3 gives me errors and says using user defined parameters or something. dj4 gives me no errors but won't record the image past 2%. Anyone else having trouble?

I think you need to use DJ 4 to get it to work.
But you said you used this, odd.
I used DJ 4 on mine & it worked first time.

what settings did you use? I've always done toc: cd-i, and mode 2, raw write and overburn... but the toc and modes are apparently wrong?

If you use the correct version of DJ, it will detect the image settings by itself...

tried both 3.5 and dj4. anything lower doesn't work with my cd writer it seems.

Sometimes, it takes ages between the 1st and 2nd session.
Have you wait long enough (say ... 15 minutes...) ?

I am in the process of downloading Ikaruga at the moment. I will let you know how I get on with burning it as soon as the download is finished.

This may sound stupid and you have probably already done it, but what spped are you recording at. I always use 1x and when ever I burn cd's they always work. Any faster and for me I just seem to produce frisbies.

Just finished the download of Ikaruga and I can say that I was able to burn it using Discjuggler 4. Game works a treat. Now to apply the PAL patch and reburn it.

I burn at 24X with a Yamaha and it just works perfectly.

2x usually. my cd writer doesn't support 1x. i tried burning it at 12x and 2x and 4x. no luck. Does it rock edge or what? :)

The game is certainley good. Think I may try to burn at maximum speed and see what happens. I have stack loads of cd's at the moment so I think I can waste a few trying.

I've found the prob.... DJ4 doesn't seem to work with my PC, dammit. I tried burning a nero version of it and it didn't work either. Guess this is one game i can't have :(

Download CDRwin 3.8g (the one i used, possibly others work too)
Crack it for max speed usage if needed.

Download CDIrip062.rar (again other might work too), it should be 20kb.

Click on CDIrip and open the ikaruga.cdi now it rips 3 tracks (dj 3 only says it has 1 track) to a cdrwin audio file...

Boot up cdrwin and go to load cue sheet, *tick Open new session box* and burn the file, it should be a 7 min file or something.. Then when burning is finished go to *file backup and tools* then do this:

Select at back tool operation: Record an iso9660 image
iso9660 options/ image filename: do open the ikaruga iso here
Select disc type: CDROM XA
Track mode: MODE 2
and if possible tick underrun protection and make sure open new session is *not* ticked anymore.
then click START.

this worked for me without any problems after wasting a CD on DJ3.5
