I think I have screwd up my Registry using a unsecure-rom utility. Is there anyway to fix my registry without the dreaded format c:

also - What is the difference between a fixed .exe and a no-cd patch

Unsure about your reg problem as you haven't given much details - wat problem you have etc

A fixed exe is an unprotected version of the original exe - that is it has the copy protection stripped from it so you can play the game using a non-perfect backup of the game
A no-cd crack is a modified version of the original exe that gets rid of all the cd-checks and copy protection so you can play the game without the cd.
Sometimes a fixed exe is also a no-cd crack because a lot of games only check the cd for the sole purpose of copy protection - so without the copy protection check, the cd isn't needed.

I installed and activated the secure rom utility.
Not any game that has had secure rom copy protection will not work

also When i try to load GTA3 Madden 2002 starts to load

That is why i feel I have a registry problem

I have done the dreaded format c: and rebuilt my software and evereythiong works now
