View Full Version : Usb Mod Chip With No Swapping?
What up people? Just like to say i LOOOOOVE the site and the message boards. I have just decided to jump into this whole psx2 backup game :-). I read in previous posts to go to:
http://www.lan-kwei.com/ps2E/
and get a premodified psx2 from charlie. I might do this but I figured to ask you smart psx2 fanatics (not me of course) if there is a usb adapter like the neokey that doesnt have to let u swap cds? cuz i heard swapping sux and messiah and magic 2 is the way to go for non swappers, its worth the extra money. anybody got info on any usb ports that dont have to use the game shark 2 to play a dvd r back up?
thanks for the help in advance hope that made sense thanks.
Don't even think about getting a USB or NEOKEY.....
Go ahead an get the MESSIAH or Magic 2....
"Is is worth the extra money?" DEFINATELY..... YES!
Unless you want to spend all your time swapping dics instead of playing the games.........

:D :D :D :( :(
BG..Maybe he does.......... other wise I wont be spending 3-4 hours chipping the bloody things......................
thanks for the reply yep im gonna go with charlie, and buy from him for $375 + the power supply converter since im from the Us (california) thanks for hte help guys i appreciate it. :-)
I bought the same unit you are about to get......
Make SURE when you buy the converter it has more than 50W of power..... The PAL PS2 requires 50W.... Do not skimp and get one with less..... I ended up getting a 150W converter and have never had a single problem with it......
thanks for the info bg so your from the us then i take it ya? when i order it do i tell them in the order form i want a 50w converter then with the psx2 modified?
Yes.... I'm from the US...(Tennessee to be exact..)
When you order the PS2... Don't even bother telling them anything about the converter...(they don't have IT)
Go to radio shack and tell them you want " A 150w power convertor to convert the US 110V to the PAL 220V"
Sometimes, depending on who you are dealing with you will have to be VERY SPECIFIC......
Tell them "I need a converter that will convert my home electricity of 110V to european 220V"
And also..... TAKE THE CORD that comes with the PS2 with you..... Show it to them to make sure they understand what you want..... It has the 2 prong european plug on it.....
If u deal with Charlie I'm pretty sure he will know what u mean. If he dont have the converter he will explain to u and tell u where to get the converter....
GOOD LUCK and enjoy the game.............
thanks for the help bg and andex you guys relaly know your stuff. im gonna talk to charlie first and see if they got it then if not go to radio shack, i rather want to get it from a place that know it all about the product u know? radio shack got bunch of idiots there. haha but ill check both out t hanks :-)
